A number of delivery options are available for our bulk
products. Price Farms Organics arranges delivery through our trusted
partners in the trucking business: Schaeffer Trucking, Conley Mobile
Dumpster, Testa Trucking, & Henderson Trucking. There is no mark-up by Price
Farms Organics on delivery costs. We charge only what the trucking company
charges us. Delivery costs are calculated upon 2 variables: first, which
truck is needed, and second, the distance from our site to your home or
business. Typically, next day delivery is available. Slinger trucks,
however, often require 3 days advance notice.
Multiple size trucks are available for any size job. The trucks hold
anywhere from 1 to 20 cubic yards of soil and 1 to 25 yards of mulch or
compost. Our soil blends weigh more per cubic yard than mulch or compost,
therefore, the trucks are not able to carry as much soil on the same truck
due to weight limits.
The smallest dump truck holds 1 - 3 cu. yards of soil, or 1 - 4 cu. yards of
mulch or compost. Delivery charges for the small dump truck start at $30.00
and go up to $60.00. This truck typically makes afternoon deliveries during
the week and morning deliveries on Saturdays. Same day delivery is sometimes
available during the week if you call in the morning. Saturday delivery
requires at least one day advance notice. This truck is only available for
deliveries within an 18 mile radius from Price Farms Organics.
A single axle dump truck holds up to 10 cu. yards of soil, or 12 cu. yards
of mulch or compost. Delivery charges for the single axle dump truck start
at $64.00 and go up to $164.00. (To give you an idea, if you live 2 miles
from Price Farms Organics, the delivery charge for the single axle truck is
$64.00 and if you live 45 miles from Price Farms Organics, the delivery
charge for the single axle truck is $164.00.) Rates for all of the trucks
are determined by distance.
The third option is a multi-axle dump truck, and it can carry up to 20 cu.
yards of soil or 25 cu. yards of mulch or compost. Rates begin at $69.00 for
the multi-axle dump truck. Both the single-axle and the multi-axle dump
trucks typically make deliveries only in the mornings, Mondays through
Saturdays, and always require at least one day notice.
Slinger trucks are also available, and they carry 1-18 cubic yards of soil
or 1-20 yards of mulch or compost. Rates for slinger trucks start at $143.00
and require 3 days advance notice. The largest option, for mulch only, is a
walking-floor tractor trailer. It can carry up to 60 yards of mulch, rates
also start from $143.00, and a 3 day notice is needed.
It is possible to “split” a load of soil or mulch with your next-door
neighbor. There is currently no additional delivery charge to split a load.
However, please be advised that it will likely not be an equal split as the
loads come off the truck in a rush. Price Farms Organics, Ltd. is not
responsible for any damage to drives, walks, buildings, yards, etc. Dyed
mulch is capable of permanently staining concrete.
